As the construction draws to a close the architect, in conjunction with the contractor, will produce the final calculation of the contract cost called the ‘final account’.

Once the work is completed a structural check called the ‘collaudo’ will need to be carried out to check the quality of the work. The architect assists the engineer in this work.

Once everything is completed the architect will issue a certificate to the council stating that the work has been completed and will then aid in the procurement of the certificate stating that the building is habitable.
